Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays

Digital Radiography is a form of X-Ray imaging, where digital x-ray sensors are used instead of traditional radiographic film.

There are many advantages to this type of new imaging. For you, the patient, the sensors require less radiation to create an image. That makes it safer. For us, the dentists, we now have the ability to enhance and manipulate the images on our computers. This also allows us to digitally transfer images saving time in the process. Since digital x-rays are taken and stored via the computer, there is no longer a need for messy chemical processing and manual development.
